World Water Forum in Mexico City March 2006

The World Water Forum is an initiative of the World Water Council that has the aim of raising the awareness on water issues all over the world. The main theme of the 4th World Water Forum was Local Actions for a Global Challenge. The SkyJuice™ Foundation was invited to present at the Forum as the Foundation has an enviable reputation of working with local organisations at the grass roots level to achieve real and immediate results as well as making progress towards the water-related targets set by the Millennium Development Goals.

International Water Association in Beijing September 2006

Nearly 3,000 delegates attended the 5th Biennial World Water Congress in Beijing. With over 700 presentations, 30 workshops and several leading water specialists providing keynote presentations.  Mr Rhett Butler, Chairman of the SkyJuice™Foundation was invited to present a paper entitled "Could the SkyHydrant™be a solution to assist China achieve safe, affordable and sustainable rural community drinking water?"

Business Council of Australia for Sustainable Energy in Melbourne December 2006

The event was an outdoor expo and accompanying seminar focusing on sustainable energy options that are relevant for the emergency and development aid sectors. The SkyJuice™ Foundation was invited to showcase how safe water can be produced in rurual and remote areas without the need for power or chemicals .

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) National Conference Melbourne December 2007

Rhett Butler's presentation focused on the overall economics of sustainable water systems and why technology based solutions can have a dramatic impact for affordable potable water. In particular, the assertion that citizens of developing nations should have access to "equivalent" quality potable water to developed countries.

Water and Sanitation in International Development and Disaster Relief Workshop May 2008

Mr Rhett Butler presented a paper on the use of membrane technology as a low cost, reliable potable water solution for medium term development and in disaster relief situations.

1st International Water Association Development Congress Mexico City November 2009

The 1st IWA Development Congress aimed to set the practice and research agenda for water and sanitation services in developing countries.  The Congress will have a strong focus on what works in a development setting and those projects that have potential for large-scale delivery.  The Congress was well sponsored wtih attendees comprising 1,000 water and sanitation professionals from the Latin American region and across the globe. Participants included researchers, practitioners, policy makers, consultants, manufacturers, technology suppliers and members of the international development community.
