Refillit is an Australian business selling BPA-free refillable water bottles. They donate $1 from every Refillit bottle sold to support projects in third world countries. Right now they are donating $1 from every bottle sold to SkyJuice™!
In Australia, we have some of the cleanest water in the world piped right into our households and available on tap in restaurants, cafes, and refill points in public spaces. Despite the convenience of this water, Australians spend over half a billion dollars on bottled water each year – with over half of those bottles ending up in landfill or as litter.
Contrast this to some of the world’s poorest communities who lack access to clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene – over 800 million people globally still don’t have access to clean drinking water, resulting in two million people dying from water-related diseases every year. Crazy isn’t it!
Every dollar SkyJuice receives from Refillit goes directly to covering the manufacturing costs of SkyHydrants™. Once the cost of a SkyHydrant is covered, that SkyHydrant is donated to a partner project for installation on the ground. Once installed, up to 1,000 people per day will have access to safe drinking water.

Too many of us are drinking from single use water bottles. Understandably, we need to drink water and have easy access to it – but bottled water costs more per litre than petrol in many cases. What’s more, over half of those bottles end up as landfill or litter on our pristine beaches and in our waterways. The bottled water life cycle has a considerable environmental impact through the extraction process (from groundwater, a spring or stream), manufacturing the bottle and transporting it around the country, or in some cases the world.
Refillit wants people to drink tap water from refillable water bottles like Refillit. Australian tap water is internationally recognised and is often a higher standard than bottled water – sounds crazy when nationally we spend over half a billion dollars on bottled water per annum – especially when bottled water can be up to 1,500 times more expensive than tap water.
